Eleanor Mae Williams

Eleanor "Ellie" Williams of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Born in Mansfield to the late Robert and Helen Carter, Ellie was the heart of her family for nearly nine decades.\n\nA lifelong educator, she taught third grade at Eastgate Elementary for 34 years, where generations of students remember her warm smile, her famous chocolate chip cookies on the last day of school, and her unwavering belief that every child could learn.\n\nEllie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Williams; her three children, Robert (Sarah), Diane (Michael), and Christopher (Jennifer); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
